Crown the Empire, Live at the Crystal Ballroom

Crown the Empire, the Dallas four-piece metalcore band also apart of Underoath’s Erase Me Tour brought high energy and a refreshing performance giving us a little taste of their new album in the works.
The collective’s first two full-length albums were concept pieces. They focused on dystopian futures, corruption and revolution. But their third album, Retrograde strays away from those themes and shifts towards a radiant futuristic proposition.

The band shared an obvious close bond with each other, sounding extremely clean and synced. Drummer Brent Taddie, was a huge source of the bands energy, one might think that interacting with the crowd behind a drum set would be a challenge but not for Taddie. Lead singer, Andy Leo’s dynamic vocals and active energy had the crowd moving and singing along within seconds of the first song.

After their unified set ended, the sold out room of the Crystal Ballroom was still busing with the high energy Crown the Empire created.
